Are students with no credit history able to fill out credit card applications?

  Students who are going to University or College right after high school usually are in need of extra money now and again for shorts periods of time.  This is exactly what credit cards were made for and what they should be used for.  But these same students have no credit history and getting regular credit card applications approved can be tough.  Luckily there are student credit card applications that students can fill out to apply for student credit cards.

  Students who are enrolled in University or College and who are of legal age can fill out these credit card applications.  These credit cards are generally pretty easy to obtain as long as you have some sort of regular income.  You are able to get some good benefits with these cards as well.  You can even get a Platinum card if you wanted one.  The biggest difference you will see with student credit cards and regular credit cards is spending limit is going to be lower.  You usually will not get more than $1,000 or $2,000 limit.  But that is enough and you will be able to book hotel rooms, plane tickets and rent cars.  All the things you couldn't do before when you didn't have any credit cards.  This will also help for any emergencies that come up while waiting for your next paycheck.

  Once you have graduated and if you have made sure you have paid your bills each and every month; you will not need to fill out any new credit card applications.  You can contact the companies who issued your student credit cards and ask them to replace that card with Platinum credit cards or low interest credit cards or whatever other type you might want at that point.
