  If you are about to fill out any credit card applications you should already know that it is important that you have a good credit history.  you might think this is a pain to try and find out what your credit history is.  But it is as easy as filling out credit card applications online.  You are able to check your credit history from the comfort of your own home.

  It is very important that you check your credit report at the credit bureaus, as you need to know what they are saying about you.  Even it you have made every payment for every bill you have ever received  on time, you still need to check your credit report.  Errors do occur and you will need to ensure that your credit report does not contain any.

  If you find any errors or mistakes on your credit report you should be contacting the credit bureau as soon as possible to make sure it gets fixed.

  You should not be waiting to check your credit report only when you are filling out credit card applications or applying for new loans and mortgages.  it is a good practice to make sure you check this every 6 months to a year.
