What are Good Credit Cards and credit card applications?

Many people are always asking what are good credit cards?  But the problem with that question is what are good credit cards for one person might not be that great for someone else.  You have to look at your credit history, income and spending habits to find this out.  And you have to know whether or not you pay your entire balance off each and every month.  This has to be what you actually do and no what you would like to do.  I am sure we all want to pay the balance off each month but the fact is not too many of us do.  Once you figure out that you are well on the way to finding out what credit card applications are for you.

When looking for good credit cards the first thing everybody can do is make sure they are filling out credit card applications with reputable companies.  There are many out there, from Discover, Citibank, Bank One, Bank of America, Advanta, American Express and Chase to name a few.  I would stick to the major companies as they are more likely to have the benefits and options you are going to want.  If you ever have problems you do not want to have to worry about being able to get hold of someone.  All of the issuers above have 24-hour toll free phone numbers and are willing to help you with any problems you might come across.

All of these companies have Low interest, Platinum, Gold, Rewards, Student and regular credit card applications.  Which ones are good credit cards for you will depend on your lifestyle?  Obviously if you are a student you should be looking at the student offers.  If you have good credit history but do not pay off your balance in full each month then you should be looking at the Platinum Cards or Low Interest credit cards.  Most likely the Platinum as you can usually get a low APR with those ones.  But if you pay off your balance in full each month then you should be applying for a rewards cards.  Since you only pay interest on your balance each month and you do not carry one then you might as well get some benefits for paying it off.  I prefer the cashback rewards cards ass they have no limitations and everybody will use money.  Many people build up airmiles but never use them for various different reasons.

Remember, what your friend thinks are good credit cards might well be great for them but not necessarily for you.  Look at all the different credit card applications and find the one that is going to suit your lifestyle the best.
