What Kind of Credit Cards should I apply For?There are credit card applications out there for everybody. No matter what your situations there are credit cards for you. Whether you have perfect credit and pay your bill off in full every month, have good credit and carry a balance, are a student or have no credit or have bad credit and trying to rebuild it. For each different type of person, there is a different type of credit card and credit card applications for you. We will give you brief overview of the different card types and who might benefit from the different card. Platinum Credit CardsPeople who are filling out credit card applications for Platinum credit cards should already have established a good credit history. Platinum Cards carry a little bit of prestige with them as they are generally considered the top type of credit card. Not only that they will also usually give you some type of rewards, low interest, extended warranties on product purchased and other benefits. But again, these cards are for people who already have good credit ratings. Low Interest Credit CardsLow interest credit cards are for people who generally carry a balance from month to month. These cards are not really a good idea for the people who pay there entire balance off each and every month. If you are paying your balance off each month then it does not matter what the interest rate is. If you are going to be carry a balance then you should be filling out credit card applications for a low interest credit card. This is bring you the most benefit. Rewards / Airmiles Credit CardsIf you are the type of person who makes lots of purchases on their credit cards each month but are able to pay off the entire balance each month then you would want to get some sort of Rewards or Airmiles credit cards. These cards usually give you one point for each dollar you spend and the points can add up pretty quick if you make lots of purchases. Generally the APR is higher than the low interest cards after the introductory period is over. So if you are carrying a balance each month then this type of card might not be worth it. But if you spend lots on your cards and pay them off each month then by filling out credit card applications for Rewards or Airmiles cards can earn you rewards and trip quickly. Student Credit CardsIf you are a student then this is the type of credit card applications you are going to want. Generally speaking, it is easier to get student credit cards than any other type of card. Possibly because the credit card companies will think your parents will be more likely to help you out when you are in college and also because most people stay loyal to their first credit card once they graduate. Even with Student cards you can get different rewards cards but the credit limits are generally lower. If you are a student then you should be filling out student credit card applications. Secured Credit CardsSecured Credit Cards are for people with bad credit who are looking to start rebuilding their credit or are in need of some type of credit card to help in booking hotels, car rentals and that sort of thing. With these cards you have to deposit money into an account before you can use your credit card. Your limit will be how ever much money you deposit into the account. You still need to make your monthly payments and if you do you will be back to rebuilding your credit. I personally would not apply for a secured credit card until after I have tried regular credit card applications and been denied. Once you are denied for the regular card then I would apply for a secured credit card. For more information about other services and products choose from one of the following links:
